We currently provide a 5-day service to children and Young People in Special Schools . Join us and become an integral part of our team. The Special School Nurse will work in partnership with families, Special Schools, Health, Statutory and Voluntary Organisations to provide a high standard supportive care to  children and young people with profound and complex health issues associated severe learning disabilities. The Nurse will work autonomously to provide a full range of services to children/young people in the school setting but is particularly skilled in epilepsy, wound care, central line management and enteral feeding and medication administration. Will have the responsibility for supporting and training parents and school staff with a variety of health conditions. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated individual who is a highly motivated independent practitioner,  underpinned by a solid foundation in evidence-based nursing practices.   While experience working in the community is preferred, it is not essential. We are interested in your skill set and what you can bring to our team. ### Main duties of the job This is an opportunity to become part of a team that provides nursing care to children in a variety of community settings. The Children’s Special School nurse  provides support with nursing care, training and support for children, young people (aged 0-19) in school settings, enabling them to remain safely in the community and transition to adult services where appropriate.
