### Main duties of the job

- The post holder will work independently without direct supervision 💼.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Community Neurodevelopmental Paediatric Team by providing high-quality clinic facilitation services within the Children’s community outpatient setting 🏥, ensuring the smooth running of outpatient clinics and meeting the needs of children and their families 👶👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. This includes liaising with appropriate staff to ensure seamless service delivery 📞.
- Obtain children’s growth measurements and relevant observations to support clinical decision-making 📊.
- Work independently without direct supervision from qualified staff 💼, while maintaining the ability to escalate any concerns as needed.
- Develop and maintain strong management, organisational, and time-management skills 📅.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring privacy, dignity, and confidentiality are upheld throughout the care process 🔒.
- Monitor and ensure patient satisfaction, proactively addressing and managing any issues that arise 🔍.

### Knowledge & Experience

**Essential**

- Significant experience of working with children and their families
- Experience of working with children and families with health needs
- A basic understanding of organisation of nursing care
- Understanding of concept and application of confidentiality

**Desirable**

- Experience of working in a health care or related setting
- Experience of working within a paediatric outpatient department

### Qualifications & Education

**Essential**

- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience working with Children and Young People
- GCSE Maths & English grade C or above OR level 2 numeracy skills and level 2 literacy skills

**Desirable**

- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
