We are looking for an enthusiastic Child and Young Person’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CYWP) to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified practitioner who is confident delivering brief, low-intensity, evidence-based interventions and thrives in creative, flexible, and community-driven environments.

### Main duties of the job

- Deliver evidence-based guided self-help for children and young people with mild to moderate emotional and mental health difficulties.
- Support young people and families through 1:1 sessions, group work, and drop-in conversations
- Co-deliver workshops and psychoeducation in various settings including #Thrive and community settings
- Work collaboratively with professionals across education, health, social care, and voluntary services.
- Promote mental health literacy and empower young people to build resilience and self-management skills
- Be part of a compassionate, skilled multi-disciplinary team focused on accessible, trauma-informed care.

### Skills

**Essential**

- Ability to meet agreed /  specified service targets
- Ability to manage own  caseload and time
- Excellent IT skills
- Has received training  (either formal or through  experience) and carried  out risk assessments  within scope of practice
- Ability to use supervision  to guide case management
- Ability to build good  rapport with children,  young people and parents  / carers

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Knowledge of child  psychology and  development
- Demonstrates an  understanding of anxiety  and depression and how it  may present in Primary  Care
- Demonstrate an  understanding of parenting  and behaviour management interventions
- Knowledge of child  protection issues,  safeguarding and other  relevant legislation
- Demonstrates a  knowledge of the issues  surrounding school and  education and the impact it  can have on mental health

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of working as a  psychological wellbeing practitioner / graduate  mental health worker in a  primary care setting
- Experience of routine  outcome monitoring
- Experience of working in  the local community
- Experience of multi-agency  working

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Successful completion of the  NHSE (or equivalent)  commissioned Children’s  Wellbeing Practitioner course. (Post Graduate Certificate or  undergraduate course)
- Registered with BABCP or BPS  as a childrens wellbeing  practitioner.
