Our CAMHS Getting More Help Service is looking for a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist (6 PAs) to join our Specialist Community Team East, based at Wokingham Hospital and covering Bracknell locality.

You’ll work with children & young people with moderate to severe mental health needs across emotional dysregulation, trauma and depression pathways, supporting them in the community to access timely intervention. You’ll play a key role in delivering innovative, multi-agency care in a team with very low wait times, making a real difference to young people and their families.

Our fully staffed MDT values holistic assessment, shared formulation & thoughtful care planning. Consultants are integral to shaping plans alongside colleagues, contributing clinical expertise within a genuinely collaborative environment.

Collaboration and peer support are central to how we work. Our MDT includes Clinical Psychologists, Family Therapists, Psychodynamic Psychotherapists, Mental Health Practitioners & Nurses. You’ll work closely with families, wider CAMHS services & partner organisations, bringing a team-focused approach to complex cases.

Our Trust is rated Outstanding by the CQC who note staff feel valued, supported and encouraged to develop interests. We prioritise wellbeing and consistently score highly in staff surveys. In this role you’ll have dedicated CPD time, monthly consultant meetings, and opportunities to develop teaching, special interests & service improvement projects.

### Main duties of the job

- Provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment for children and young people up to 18 within the Bracknell locality
- Hold a caseload and deliver 2–3 clinical contacts per direct clinical session, depending on clinical complexity
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to shared formulation, holistic care planning and multi-agency decision-making
- Offer consultation and clinical advice to colleagues across the service
- Engage with families, schools, social care, community paediatrics, GPs and partner agencies to coordinate care

- Holds and will use valid UK driving licence OR provides evidence of proposed alternative.

- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months.
- Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
