We are seeking an experienced and values-driven leader to join us as Chief Psychological Professions Officer (CPPO) in a job-share arrangement. This is a senior leadership opportunity to provide strategic and professional leadership for Psychological Professions across the Trust while helping shape a compassionate, inclusive and high-performing culture.

This role offers the opportunity to lead at senior level within a flexible working model that promotes resilience, continuity and visible inclusive leadership. The post is offered as a shared-accountability model, with two experienced leaders jointly holding the CPPO portfolio, supported by clear governance, communication and performance arrangements.

### Main duties of the job

In this post, you will lead on psychological professional governance, contribute to corporate leadership, shape workforce strategy for Psychological Professions, and support quality, safety, assurance and system partnership working across the wider health and care landscape.  The CPPO role is strategically complex and highly influential. It carries significant professional accountability and requires confident leadership across governance, assurance, workforce strategy, service development and partnership working. It is a role for someone who can build trusted relationships, provide expert advice and lead with credibility across a complex organisation. In this senior role the postholder will also provide senior Therapies leadership across the Therapies portfolio, including deputising for the Executive Director of Therapies when required.

The Chief Psychological Professions Officer opportunity is designed as a shared Trust-wide leadership role delivered by two jointly appointed postholders, usually at 0.5 WTE each or another agreed split, working to one job description with shared objectives, accountability and appraisal arrangements. Together they will provide collective leadership across the full CPPO portfolio, including professional governance, workforce and culture, strategic development, psychological professions leadership, and system partnership working, while using complementary working patterns, clear handovers and regular overlap time to ensure continuity, consistent decision-making and visible senior leadership across the Trust.   You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, due to the part time hours the starting salary for this role would not meet the required salary threshold for this post to be eligible for sponsorship under the Health and Care (Skilled Worker) visa. Health and Care Worker visa.

- Excellent leadership skills including highly developed communication, facilitation and negotiation skills.
- Extensive knowledge of the NHS policy environment at local, regional and national level.
- Excellent project management skills.

### Experience

- Extensive experience of interpreting and implementing national policy, guidance and standards within a healthcare organisation.
- Extensive experience of leading organisational change, including internal and external consultation processes.
- Extensive experience of representing a healthcare organisation at external forums.

### Qualifications

- Possession of a doctoral level professional degree in Applied Psychology or equivalent qualification as Psychological Profession.
- Possession of a post- graduate management or leadership qualification/ masters degree or equivalent
- Evidence of substantial continuing professional and personal development
