## Person Specification

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Knowledge of the application of Care Quality Commission standards
- Knowledge of the Hygiene Code and demonstrate leadership commitment to infection prevention and control to ensure that patient safety is central to the organisation’s culture, systems and working practices.
- Good knowledge of healthcare modernisation and able to demonstrate a successful track record of leading and facilitating major change programmes

### Experience

**Essential**

- Professional, leadership and managerial experience of a sufficient level to make an immediate contribution in this role, this will include previous senior nursing management experience in an Acute Care Organisation.
- Demonstrate experience in the redesign and development of services, together with practical experience in leading the necessary changes to implement.
- An inspiring leader who leads by example and empowers others with a personal passion for improving patient care and the overall patient experience
- Highly developed oral, written, presentation and leadership skills, with the ability to develop, communicate and gain ownership for a clear vision and direction for patient centered nursing care
- Ability to build effective teams that deliver high standards, collaborative working and integrated solutions to complex and challenging problems

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Registered nurse or midwife with current registration, NMC and academic qualification to Masters degree (or equivalent)
