### Chief Digital Information Officer

Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals, renowned for delivering specialist care to children and young people with rare, complex and life-limiting conditions.

We are now seeking an outstanding Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO) to join our leadership team at a pivotal moment in the Trust’s evolution. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the CDIO will lead our Digital, Data, ICT and AI functions, ensuring technology, data and innovation are embedded as core enablers of clinical excellence, research, operational performance and service transformation.

We are looking for a proven senior leader with significant experience of leading large-scale digital, data and technology transformation within complex organisations. You will bring a strong track record in developing high-performing teams, delivering change through influence and partnership, and creating cultures where people are empowered, supported and inspired to achieve their full potential.

Deep expertise in digital strategy, information governance, cyber security and data-driven improvement will be essential, alongside a sophisticated understanding of AI governance, ethical deployment, assurance and risk management. Above all, you will be a values-led leader whose approach reflects GOSH’s recently refreshed Values - recognising  that collaboration, respect and curiosity are fundamental to sustained success.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Significant senior experience of leading ICT, digital, data & information, information governance, and cyber security
- Significant experience of system working
- Significant senior experience and knowledge in the development and deployment of digital technologies and channels that generate cost improvements and enhanced end user outcomes.
- EPR deployment and contract management experience
- Able to lead complex change and transformation at significant scale including across organisational boundaries
- Track record of leading through influence, partnership, and authority, collaborating with world class clinical colleagues to deliver operational excellence and outstanding patient care
- A nuanced leadership approach, and the demonstrable ability to flex style to different circumstances;
- A demonstrable track record of nurturing and developing leadership teams
- Understanding of, and commitment to, continuous improvement, and proven ability to pursue a range of approaches to utilise new technologies, products, services and processes

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Educated to Masters level or equivalent
- Evidence of management training, and continuous professional development
- Recognised project management qualification - MSP, PRINCE 2 Practitioner

**Desirable**

- ITIL qualification
