The team is based across 6 sites. The team is multi-disciplinary in nature and also includes social workers, social care workers, Psychiatry, Nursing and Occupational Therapy. ART works directly with adults and their families/carers who have Addiction issues and complex needs. The Service will be undertaking a whole systems review to ensure we continue to evolve to match the aspirations of the Scottish Government. MAT standards and you will be integral to ensuring standards are maintained. The service offers innovative treatment to people living in the community wherever possible and is able to offer intensive treatment for time limited periods where required. The team also has a role to support partner agencies including working alongside justice, adult services and children and families. You will be offered regular supervision, partake in MDTs and joint working.The team undertakes considerable service development work which the post holder will have the opportunity to contribute to, in addition to participation in areas of work both for your own interest and professional development. This is an exciting time to work in the Addiction Recovery Team with the developments across Scotland. Applicants must possess a full valid driving license, be a Mental health trained Nurse and registered with NMC. ### Please note this is a fixed term post for 12 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post. - ### In this key role, you will: - The principle role of the charge nurse is to be case load holder / case manager to a defined group of clients / patients and carry ongoing responsibility for the assessment of needs, planning of person centred care, and delivery of high standards of nursing care, providing clinical supervision for any delegated aspects of care and treatment delivered by junior team members through the framework of the Nursing Process - Responsible for ensuring delegated aspects of the nursing process are within the scope and range and competencies of the post / post holder they are delegated to. - Provision of advice and consultation on care and treatment of patients with mental disorder presenting to non mental health services such as A&E, primary care and within other clinical settings, initiating care pathways as appropriate - Assist and support the team leader / senior charge nurse or practitioner in the management, co-ordination, delivery and monitoring of effective, efficient and high quality nursing care within the defined setting ### What You'll Bring: - Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration - Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level - Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently. - Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice. - Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality / area of practice. - Leadership skills to enable the day to day management of service delivery. - Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification ### What we Offer As a valued employee of NHS Lanarkshire, you can enjoy an extensive range of benefits including: - Annual Leave - 35 days including public holidays - Generous NHS pension scheme - Annual incremental salary progression - Paid sick leave increasing with length of service - NHS discounts and more.
