Are you passionate about improving the lives of people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and complex behavioural needs? Do you have experience in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and behavioural assessment? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Challenging Behaviour Specialist to join the Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities (CTPLD) in Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team supporting adults with Learning Disabilities who present with behaviours that challenge and/or mental health needs.

### Main duties of the job

As a Challenging Behaviour Specialist, you will play a key role in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating Positive Behaviour Support interventions that enable individuals to live fulfilling lives within their communities.

Working collaboratively with service users, families, carers, health professionals, social care teams and third-sector organisations, you will provide specialist behavioural expertise and contribute to preventing unnecessary hospital admissions through proactive, person-centred support.

### Job responsibilities

- Conducting behavioural assessments and developing functional behavioural formulations.
- Designing, implementing and reviewing Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs).
- Coordinating multi-agency risk assessments and management plans.
- Providing specialist advice, consultation and support to professionals, families and carers.
- Supporting behavioural and mental health crisis responses when required.
- Delivering training and education programmes to health, social care and voluntary sector partners.
- Participating in service development, audit and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contributing to multidisciplinary assessments and complex case reviews.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience working with adults or children with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism.
- Experience applying Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and/or Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
- Experience assessing and supporting behaviours that challenge.
- Experience developing, implementing and evaluating PBS plans.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
