At Dalton Court Care Home, we believe that great food plays an important role in residents' health, wellbeing and overall quality of life. We are looking for a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our hospitality team and help create an enjoyable dining experience for our residents every day.

Working alongside the Chef and wider kitchen team, you will support the preparation, presentation and service of meals while helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming kitchen environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in delivering high standards of service and care.

### Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team and help deliver high-quality, home-cooked meals to our residents.

Key Responsibilities.

- Assist the Chef/Cook in preparing and serving meals tailored to residents dietary needs and preferences.
- Support all aspects of kitchen operations including food prep, stock control, and maintaining hygiene standards.
- Ensure the kitchen remains clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Contribute to menu planning by sharing resident feedback and helping enhance the dining experience.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with food safety practices.

### Job responsibilities

The Catering Assistant is responsible for supporting the catering team in the preparation and service of meals and refreshments for residents, visitors and colleagues.
