Why might this job interest you? We have an exciting opportunity for a CT Radiographer at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust to join the Clinical Radiology CT Scanning Department at Rotherham Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality CT imaging services, supporting the provision of a safe and efficient 24/7 diagnostic service, and working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will be expected to maintain the highest standards of patient care and professional practice while consistently demonstrating the Trust's values and beliefs. ### Main duties of the job

As a CT Radiographer, you will be responsible for using your professional judgement and initiative to manage your own workload effectively while ensuring examinations are performed safely and efficiently. You will support the day-to-day operation of the CT service, make informed decisions within your scope of practice, and contribute to service development by adapting to evolving departmental needs. You will also maintain accurate documentation, communicate effectively with colleagues and patients, and actively participate in initiatives that enhance service delivery and departmental performance.

Responsibilities of this job role

To complete comprehensive specialist assessments, including risk assessments and personalised care plans, ensuring these are regularly reviewed and developed in partnership with patients and, where appropriate, their families to support effective clinical outcomes.

To deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions through individual, family, and group sessions, while offering specialist advice and clinical guidance to healthcare professionals involved in patient care.

To act as the key worker for an allocated caseload, coordinating patient pathways, monitoring progress, and ensuring continuity of care through effective liaison with all relevant stakeholders.

To produce accurate and timely clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment reports, progress records, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with local policies, professional standards, and statutory requirements.

To provide clinical services across a range of settings, including hospitals, community facilities, schools, residential homes, and patients' homes, adapting interventions to meet individual needs and circumstances.

To participate in clinical supervision, safeguarding processes, referral triage, and specialist practice initiatives, while promoting mental health awareness and maintaining strong partnerships with healthcare, education, and community organisations.

## Person Specification

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- To be successful in applying for this role you will need:
- Current professional registration (NMC, HCPC, Social Work England, or equivalent) with a recognised clinical qualification.
- Post-registration experience in CAMHS or mental health, including assessment, risk management, and therapeutic interventions.
- Knowledge of mental health legislation, professional standards, and child and adolescent mental health services.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently and support others.
- Experience in clinical supervision, teaching, audit, and delivering high-quality, person-centred mental health care.
