## Job Content

### Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS Enhanced Treatment Service as a Band 5 Community Nurse for a 12 month Secondment for maternity cover. This role would be suitable for a band 5 nurse who would like to learn and get experience working in a community setting.

About the team: The Enhanced Treatment Service (ETS) is for young people aged 12-18 who are presenting with a serious mental illness. We offer an alternative pathway for young people who have been admitted for inpatient treatment, as well as offering a supported discharge package for young people leaving hospital.

We aim to reduce A&E presentations and hospital admissions and offer the least restrictive interventions to provide consistent access to rapid, effective interventions, support and recovery - including crisis services. This includes better use of resources and investing to develop more local, community-based services and support. The service has both an outreach, and community day service model.

This varied role offers excellent opportunities to gain experience and therapeutic skills in a variety of different settings.

The post will be based at the PEARS Maudsley Centre for Children and Young People (PYMCP) in Camberwell. We are looking to appoint someone who is confident, responsive and has a passion for young-person and family-centred improvements; you will be enthusiastic and resilient and be able to respond to young people's needs flexibly.

### Main duties of the job

This role in ETS is a varied role which includes supporting CAMHS practitioners with case-coordination as part of a MDT care team, coordination of the day service, therapeutic group work, outreach work, delivering, reviewing and planning therapeutic interventions and risk management.
