We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Performance and Business Manager to join our team!

Watling Ward is recruiting a Performance and Business Manager who will develop and facilitate the local performance framework, ensuring timely and accurate data collection and submission.

As the Performance and Business Manager you will co-ordinate the secretarial and administrative support to the wards. You will develop and facilitate the local performance framework ensuring timely and accurate data collection and submission.

You will also support the Ward Managers and Matrons in the routine management of staff sickness, annual leave, training, and performance management.

### Main duties of the job

- Performance & Workforce Reporting: Produce and analyse workforce performance reports, monitor KPIs, audit data quality, and identify trends to support operational decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Rota & Workforce Coordination: Manage electronic staff rotas, monitor staffing levels, skill mix, annual leave and time owing, and identify workforce risks with mitigation plans alongside Ward Managers.
- People Management & Recruitment: Line manage the Ward Administrator, oversee recruitment and induction of administrative staff, and ensure completion of staff induction requirements.
- Operational & Administrative Leadership: Oversee clinical record systems, workforce data quality, filing systems, procurement, meeting administration, and act as the central point of contact for Ward Managers and Matrons.
- Governance & Compliance: Maintain confidentiality, support equipment and system management, comply with Trust policies and health and safety requirements, and participate in ongoing professional development and performance reviews.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of working in an administrative/secretarial role.
- Experience and evidence of analysing, interpreting and presenting information
- Experience of the development of administrative systems and procedures
- Experience of supervising or leading teams
- Experience of performance monitoring and management

**Desirable**

- Experience of working relationships with mental health services
- Experience of working relationships including GP’s, ICBs, Health and Social Care Services, Voluntary Organisations and Patient and Carer Representatives.
