The Estates department at Furness General Hospital is a group of highly skilled electrical, mechanical and plumbing engineers, creative building craftpersons, and dedicated support staff.

We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Building Services Engineer to join us. You should be either an experienced and time served Electrician, Plumber, or Mechanical Fitter, looking to progress your career.

Depending on your shift, you could be the department’s point of contact for all out of hours incidents and breakdowns, carrying out first line assessment, fault finding, repair, substitute of service and/or safe isolation - as required.

You will be expected to take on the role of (dependant on trade and after full training) an appointed Authorised Person for Estates disciplines such as water, medical gases, electrical safety, ventilation, and decontamination.
