This post requires an exceptional nurse with experience of managing patients with Breast Cancer. An understanding of the physiological process and types of Breast cancer is essential. Responsibilities include supporting patients from diagnosis, through their treatment pathway and completing End of Treatment Summary. The post requires knowledge of likely treatment side effects both short and long term and an ability to safely triage patients symptoms by telephone and sign post accordingly.

An ability to work flexibly with all members of the MDT is essential.

### Applicant requirements

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

- Registered Nurse (NMC)

**Desirable**

- 4 years experience

### Oncology Experience

**Essential**

- A basic level of understanding of oncological treatment in breast cancer.

**Desirable**

- 4 years experience

### Post Registration qualification within speciality or equivalent experience.

**Essential**

- 2 years experience of Specialist Breast Care
- Advanced communication skills qualification

**Desirable**

- Teaching Experience or qualification
