This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping high-quality Breast services at Sheffield teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, improving patient outcomes across the South Yorkshire and  beyond. ### Main duties of the job The successful applicant will be a member of the team working as an autonomous accountable practitioner, assessing and managing patients. They will work on their own initiative and in close collaboration with medical, nursing and allied health professionals to deliver safe, timely patient centred care. Experience of working in Breast services is desirable but not essential. We are seeking an inspirational and influential leader who is confident, dynamic and visible with existing experience or a willingness to develop significant experience; as an ACP within a Breast service. The successful candidate will be committed to progressing through and completing the ACCEND ACP framework. Working with department managers and wider teams the individual will be required to ensure that clinical quality standards are consistently achieved and maintained. The successful candidate must demonstrate a passion for nursing, be a role model who demonstrates the Trust values. As an autonomous practitioner the post holder will be required to work collaboratively with the wider MDT. When completing your application please ensure that you clearly demonstrate how you meet the role criteria. ## Person Specification ### Experience **Essential** - Significant relevant experience as qualified ACP in the relevant field - Must be able to evidence and demonstrate experience of ability to act as an independent, senior decision maker in a clinical team using published specialist curricula where available - Experience of undertaking service improvement activity - Evidence of contribution to audit and research activity - Experience of training, supervising and assessing competence of junior colleagues (medical staff / ACP's / NMAHPs) - Evidence of portfolio of practice and sign off of competence of knowledge, skills and experience across all 4 pillars of advanced practice - Evidence of adopting strategic priorities into practice - Clinical / managerial leadership experience, including line management of staff, e.g., sickness/absence, recruitment/selection - Experience and understanding of clinical governance in a practice setting and of dealing with complaints and managing / investigating clinical or other incidents **Desirable** - Evidence of leading on implementing strategic priorities into practice - Experience of planning, developing and co-ordinating training material, courses, and activity for others - Experience of leading on change management or service improvement activity ### Qualifications **Essential** - Relevant Masters’ degree in Advanced Practice or recognised qualification via the supported portfolio route from HEE Centre for Advancing Practice - Registered Nurse with Valid NMC registration or Health Care Professional and registered with HCPC with relevant clinical experience - Advanced Physical Assessment and Non-Medical Prescribing module - Advanced life support qualification (ALS/ILS) - Evidence of relevant continuous professional development - Recognised Leadership Award/qualification or equivalent experience **Desirable** - Recognised Teaching & Assessment Qualification or equivalent experience ### Personal Qualities **Essential** - Team player with a professional approach to work and colleagues;
