As a Nuclear Medicine Booking Coordinator the work is varied and demanding with an emphasis on accuracy, reliability and adaptability.

The post holder will be able to prioritise demanding workloads and work under their own initiative.

The post holder will be a key member of the Nuclear Medicine team and will have direct contact with patients, medical, nursing, and other staff and is therefore expected to represent the department in a professional manner at all times.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential along with a flexible approach to enable the efficient and effective running of the department.  The post is 30 hours per week (4 x 7.5 hour days) working on a rota system between the hours of  07.45am and 19.00pm.

Candidates can only be shortlisted if they state in their application they meet the essential criteria in the job specification.

### Main duties of the job

The post holder will be the first point of contact for enquiries from patients, relatives and health care professionals ensuring an efficient and effective clerical support within the Nuclear medicine and PET/CT departments. The Booking Coordinator is responsible for the day to day coordination and allocation of appointment slots for tests, treatments and investigations in both areas. The post holder will assist in meeting performance, quality and activity targets within Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT and ensure managers are informed of potential breaches of waiting time targets.
