Working Part Time: 18 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

The Blood Sciences Department at the Countess of Chester have a  vacancy for a Biomedical Support worker to support the Symptomatic FIT testing service across Cheshire & Merseyside and implementation of the long-term pathology model.  This post will be a 6 month fixed term post.

This service is based at Chester Blood Sciences Laboratory processing samples for Chester and Wirral patients.

Duties will include processing samples, entering results and data, sending kits to patients, tracking patient compliance, dealing with service user enquiries and chasing up missing samples.

Full on the job training will be given.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- 5 GCSE’s Grade C or above or equivalent including English language

### Skills and Abilities

**Essential**

- Ability to prioritise and deliver to short deadlines
- Evidence of good organisational skills
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment
- Ability to use own initiative and work largely unsupervised
- Excellent communication skills – ability to liaise with staff at all levels
