Working as part of a team, you will be expected to perform a wide range of tasks in support of the Biomedical and Clinical Scientist workforce. ### Main duties of the job Working primarily in the Transplant Immunology Sample Reception section, you will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute towards the provision of an accurate and timely service for patients across the Yorkshire region. The post holder will be responsible for assessing all samples when they arrive in the laboratory to determine an appropriate testing strategy, followed by accurately recording all samples using our in-house laboratory information management systems (LIMS). The post-holder will also routinely produce in-house reagents, conduct stock and rota monitoring and equipment maintenance, prepare blood and tissue samples for analysis and perform DNA extraction using both manual and automated techniques.
