Are you a qualified Therapeutic Radiographer looking for flexible working opportunities within a leading radiotherapy service?

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Bank Therapeutic Radiographers to join our Radiotherapy Department at the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre. Working through our staff bank offers the flexibility to choose shifts that fit around your lifestyle while gaining experience in a busy and innovative radiotherapy centre.

Located in the heart of Bristol, our department provides access to a wide range of advanced radiotherapy techniques and technologies. You will have the opportunity to work across a large department supporting service delivery during periods of increased demand, annual leave, and staff absence.

Our radiotherapy services include:

- 5 Elekta Linear Accelerators
- 2 dedicated CT scanners within our pre-treatment area
- Virtual Simulation, Ultrasound and MRI facilities
- Clarity Ultrasound-guided radiotherapy
- Gamma Knife Stereotactic Radiosurgery
- Paediatric Radiotherapy
- SABR for multiple treatment sites
- HDR Brachytherapy for gynaecological, prostate, oesophageal and skin cancers
- Molecular Radiotherapy services

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced radiographers seeking flexible work in a specialist oncology environment while maintaining and developing their clinical skills.

### Main duties of the job

As a Bank Therapeutic Radiographer, you will support the delivery of safe, accurate and compassionate radiotherapy treatments whilst working alongside experienced Band 6 and Band 7 Radiographers.

Key responsibilities include:

- Delivering radiotherapy treatments accurately and safely in accordance with prescribed treatment plans.
- Providing high-quality patient care and support throughout the treatment pathway.
- Undertaking routine machine quality assurance checks and reporting any variances promptly.
- Interpreting, monitoring and evaluating treatment prescriptions to ensure accurate and reproducible treatment delivery.
- Undertaking and evaluating radiation dose delivery calculations involving a range of radiation types and energies.
- Applying and interpreting treatment verification procedures to evaluate radiotherapy delivery.
- Maintaining high professional and clinical standards in line with departmental and Trust policies.
- Working effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team to support service provision.

Successful applicants for this role will:

- Hold HCPC Registration with current licence to practice.
- Have experience working in a NHS or equivalent acute environment within the last 18-24 months.
- Have a drive to work hard, enthusiasm and the ability to commit to the full induction programme if successful.
- Have valid right to work in the UK (with relevant Adaptation/ONP if applicable).

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience working in the NHS or equivalent acute environment
- Wide experience with equipment and techniques
- Experience with student/support worker education
- Working with ISO 9001

### Skills and Abilities

- Knowledge of national developments in radiotherapy techniques/ advances
- Patient focused
- Ability to deal effectively with predictable and routine problems using defined and familiar procedures and guidelines.

- Appreciate the multi-disciplinary nature of the service
- Reliability to work well under pressure

### Qualifications and Training

- DCR (T) or BSc (Hons) State Registered Therapeutic Radiographer
- HCPC Registration
