## Job Content

Newhouse Kilmarnock is looking to recruit a bank support worker to join the team.Newhouse is located in the semi-rural village of Hurlford, near Kilmarnock, Scotland. Our home offers residential support for 22 adults with a primary learning disability diagnosis, who may also have physical health needs, or be on the autism spectrum.

### What you'll be doing

- Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
- Assist with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
- Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
- Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff

**Essential**

The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is important, as is the capability to understand and follow policies and procedures. Being able to anticipate and respond effectively to challenges is also required. Competence in verbal and written English is necessary, and while a healthcare qualification is desirable, it is not essential. If successful, as part of our onboarding we will require you to confirm your full employment history from leaving full time education.
