Priory The Spinney is looking to recruit a Support Worker to join the team. This is a bank role. The Spinney is located within Bamber Bridge, a suburb of Preston, in Lancashire. It offers residential support for three adult males and females, including autistic people and individuals with a learning disability. We are located in a pleasant neighbourhood, off a main road.Our team are dedicated to supporting our residents to have a fulfilled and active life, encouraging dreams, goals and aspirations. We design our support around the individual needs of each person we care for, working together to achieve the very best for everyone in a unique, homely atmosphere. We aim to provide everyday living experiences within the community for people who may otherwise miss the opportunity to experience the wider world.

### What you'll be doing

- Ensure that the people who use our service have any personal needs or requirements met; including personal care, participation in activities and support with daily living tasks. To support people who use our service in achieving their outcomes in the way that they choose.
- Complete daily administration including updating person centred support & care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes.
- Maintains professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with the people who use our service, their family, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders.
- Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards.

### What you'll bring to the role

**Essential**

- Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.The ideal candidate will have, or be working towards, an NVQ2 in Health and Social Care or a related area, along with GCSEs or NVQ2 in English and Maths. New recruits without NVQ2 will be expected to begin working towards the qualification within six months of joining. Experience in a related environment is desirable.
