### Job overview

To support the delivery of the Supply Chain Materials Management Audit Programme across NWLPS managed sites, undertaking structured reviews of operational Supply Chain activities, compliance and service performance.

To assess compliance with the Supply Chain Materials Management Service Policy and agreed operational standards, identifying areas of variation, operational risk, non-compliance and opportunities for improvement.

To undertake site audits, stakeholder engagement and benchmarking activities across Supply Chain operations, including workforce, inventory management, goods receipting, distribution, customer service, health and safety and associated processes.

To produce evidence-based findings, assurance scores, observations and recommendations that support decision making, future service improvement, standardisation and development of the future operating model.

### Main duties of the job

- Audit Planning, Delivery and Stakeholder Engagement – Support the planning and delivery of the Supply Chain Materials Management Audit Programme, engaging with operational, clinical and corporate stakeholders to facilitate site reviews and evidence gathering.
- Compliance, Assurance and Benchmarking – Assess compliance with the Supply Chain Materials Management Service Policy and operational standards, benchmarking performance across sites and identifying variation, risks and areas of non-compliance.
- Service Delivery and Operational Review – Review and assess Supply Chain operational activities including inventory management, replenishment, goods receipting, distribution, customer service and workforce deployment.
- Information Analysis and Reporting – Collect, analyse and interpret audit findings, operational data and supporting evidence to produce assurance scores, observations, risk assessments and benchmarking reports.
- Recommendations and Service Improvement – Develop evidence based findings, recommendations and prioritised improvement opportunities to support future service development, standardisation and operating model design

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of working within a Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management, Materials Management or Receipt & Distribution environment.
- Experience of reviewing operational processes, procedures and working practices.
- Experience of gathering, validating and recording information from a range of sources.
- Experience of investigating issues, identifying findings and making recommendations.
- Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders in a customer focussed environment.
- Experience of using electronic systems, operational data and management information.

**Desirable**

- Experience within a hospital, healthcare or other complex operational environment.
- Experience of audit, compliance, benchmarking, assurance or service review activities.
- Experience of inventory management, replenishment and stock control processes.
- Experience of report writing, findings, documentation and presentation of information.

### Skills & Knowledge

**Essential**

- Good understanding of Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Replenishment and Goods Receipting processes.
- Ability to gather, analyse and interpret information from multiple sources.
- Ability to identifying risks, non-compliance, service variation and opportunities for improvement.

- Ability to undertake observations, interviews and evidence gathering activities.

### Education/Qualification

**Essential**

- Educated to A-Level standard, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification, training or experience.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications and electronic systems.

**Desirable**

- Qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Inventory Management, Audit or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CIPS, CILT) or working towards professional accreditation.
