Key to this role is flexibility with the requirement for staff to work variable shifts over 7 days a week on a week-by-week basis within agreed limits ### Main duties of the job We are looking for people who are compassionate and feel passionately about providing a level of care they would wish for their family and friends. Successful applicants who fulfil the essential qualifications/skills on the person specification/job description will be shortlisted and offered an interview for the Nurse Bank. - Candidates must have 12 months experience working in a care environment on a professional contract (nursing home etc within the last 5 years) - UHNM Maths & English condensed test at interview to show evidence of good Literacy and Numeracy level. - Numeracy/Literacy skills to Level 1 (GCSE Grade 2-3, D-F or equivalent) IELTS or OETS (Overall score of C1) accepted for overseas applicants (Level 7 in Listening/speaking/reading & Level 6.5 in Writing) - Care Certificate or must complete within 12 weeks of commencing employment - NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Care/Equivalent qualification or willingness to work towards once in post. We provide a full corporate induction, local area induction and supernumerary shifts to help you settle in if you have not worked in an acute trust for some time.
