Are you ready for an exciting new opportunity to be part of something special? Priory is looking for a dedicated Mental Health Nurse to join our team at a brand-new, nurse-led residential service in Melton Mowbray supporting individuals with complex mental health needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering a pioneering service.

### What you'll be doing

- Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
- Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse.
- Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their need and evaluate their progress.
- Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.

### What you'll bring to the role

**Essential**

- Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC registration, 6 to 12 months’ post-registration experience, and completion of a preceptorship programme. They will have knowledge of NMC guidelines, requirements, and professional practices, along with evidence of post-registration continuing professional development. The candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, a commitment to change, improvement, and quality, and the ability to develop and use flexible, innovative approaches to practice. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. They will have a minimum of 6 months’ post-registration experience within a mental health or learning disabilities care environment, with evidence of continued professional development in a relevant field.
