## Job Content

Cragston Court is looking to recruit a Recovery Support Worker to join the team. This is a bank role.Cragston Court in Blakelaw, Newcastle upon Tyne is a unit providing tailored rehabilitation and recovery for up to 20 men and women with complex and enduring mental health needs for adults over the age of 18.Cragston Court is equipped to deliver Mental Health Nursing and Rehabilitation support for people who are experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions.

### What you'll be doing

- To provide practical support and responsive care to service users who require support in their rehabilitation and recovery whilst ensuring that such activities comply with procedures and the relevant healthcare legislation.
- Observes and monitors the wellbeing of residents ensuring that any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to senior staff/the primary nurse and documented as appropriate.
- Provide specific interventions with service users as delegated by a Registered Nurse, and following training and competency attainment. Such interventions include Observation and Engagement with service users, escorting on appointments, and being involved in de-escalation and management of violence and aggression.
- Participate in regular team meetings and attend other meetings as requested
- Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
- Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
- Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists
- Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth
