### Job overview

We are a busy District General Hospital acting to provide an effective, timely service to our patients. We are looking for an experienced band 5 Radiographer to join our bank team and ensure we can continue to provide this service.

This position is offered on a Bank basis which is ‘as and when’ required with no guaranteed hours, however it does offer you increased flexibility by selecting shifts to work around your lifestyle.

Due to the terms of a Bank contract, we are unable to meet the criteria for Skilled Worker sponsorship for visa purposes.

We are looking to recruit a self motivated Diagnostic Radiographer to join our small, friendly team. The job role can involve rotation into general areas including A&E, GP and outpatients, Orthopaedic, Theatre, Fluoroscopy and CT departments, dependant on experience.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Evidence of recent clinical experience, either pre or post registration
- General Xray experience including A&E, theatre and mobiles
- Relevant NHS Experience
- Use of digital Radiographic equipment (DR)
- Experience in CT – CT head and Cervical Spine

**Desirable**

- Fluoroscopy and dental experience
- Previous experience of working with a range of radiographic equipment and techniques
- Experience in CT - complex scans including intravenous iodinated contrast scans

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- HCPC (Health & Care Professions Council) registration
- BSc Degree in Radiography or equivalent Diploma (DCR)
- Evidence of sound level of computer literacy

**Desirable**

- Evidence of CPD activity

### Skills, Knowledge and Abilities - Professional

**Essential**

- Sound Radiographic skills and knowledge including image appraisal
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and Infection control measures
- Ability to demonstrate good organisational and time management skills

**Desirable**

- IV cannulation trained
- Experience of QA
