About the Role Are you an experienced and motivated Dental Nurse looking for an opportunity to lead a dedicated Out of Hours service? Community Dental Services CIC (CDS) is seeking a Senior Dental Nurse to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality urgent dental care across two sites in Suffolk. This is an exciting opportunity to combine clinical practice with leadership responsibilities within a supportive and patient-focused organisation. This is a flexible Bank position with an average commitment of approximately 10 hours per week. Clinical sessions are delivered on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays, with a small amount of flexible weekday administrative time required to manage rotas, approvals and service coordination. ### Main duties of the job Key Responsibilities - Leadership & Management: Manage sessional rotas for dental nurses and dentists to ensure seamless weekend and bank holiday coverage. - Clinical Excellence: Deliver high-quality clinical dental nursing and lead patient triage for a diverse patient base of adults and children. - Clinical Governance: Oversee strict compliance with local and national clinical protocols, including HTM 01-05 decontamination guidelines and infection control audits. - Health & Safety: Carry out regular workplace risk assessments, manage safety procedures, and report operational incidents. - Patient Care: Reassure patients, explain emergency procedures, and provide clear pre- and post-operative instructions.
