In addition, you will manage an outpatient caseload, which includes weekly diabetic and general clinics. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in areas such as ICU, gastroenterology, surgery and neurorehab. The post holder will also be involved in staff and patient education programmes. The post holders will be involved in clinical audits, department wide projects and service improvements. The department is committed to continuing professional development, with one of the Trust's key priorities being to develop a quality workforce through an effective appraisal system. There is a well-established borough-wide Dietetic network which offers peer support and there are good opportunities and guidance for ongoing personal development. The post holder will be supported by a Senior Dietitian involving regular clinical supervision. ### Main duties of the job Job Purpose - To contribute to the delivery of Nutrition and Dietetic Services to the Hillingdon Hospital NHS Trust (including cover to the Mount Vernon Site and clinic) 2. To assess and treat a defined caseload of patients and maintain accurate records. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities Clinical: 1. To undertake nutritional assessment and calculate nutritional requirements of referred in-patients at Hillingdon Hospital NHS Trust, taking into account medical, social and cultural factors. 2. To provide nutrition and dietary advice suitable for the patient’s medical, social and cultural factors which is evidence-based. 3. To negotiate change with patients to enable them to achieve dietary targets set. 4. To monitor and review nutritional care plans against outcome measures and adjust care plan to facilitate achievement of goals. ### Applicant requirements You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
