University College London Hospitals are on the lookout for a committed and qualified Senior Radiographer to join their highly skilled team.

### Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required to perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures to a high standard and provide professional support to colleagues.

### Job responsibilities

The post holder is required:

- To perform a wide range of radiographic procedures across a variety of complex clinical presentations and pathologies, including CT scans to a required standard.
- To prioritise patients to ensure optimum efficiency and service quality.
- To ensure that all data inputs are accurately recorded in order to maintain the integrity of data for both patients and service.
- To provide professional support, supervision and assistance to qualified radiographers and other staff in service delivery and personal development.
- To ensure professional practice, and that of the service, is maintained and extended through participation in Continuous Professional Development.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Evidence of relevant specialist post- degree or diploma courses for Continuing Professional Development
- Evidence of a range of post qualification clinical experience
- Evidence of significant experience to rotate between specialist areas
- Participation in quality assurance and clinical audit
- Evidence of ability to critically analyse complex and acute radiographs
- Evidence of participation in QA and maintenance of agreed standards
- Demonstrate awareness of responsibility to and advocacy for patients.
- Very high personal and radiographic standards, with attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure whilst subject to interruption
- Willingness to embrace new ideas and concepts
- Computer literacy
- Ability to use own initiative, solve problems and make decisions.
- Evidence of experience in the supervision, training and assessment of students to required standard
- Good understanding of the legislation relating to the post
- Ability to wear radiation protective clothing at 0.35Pb equivalent for periods of up to 4 hours
- Ability to safely use a wide range of manual handling equipment as provided by the Trust

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- BSc or Diploma in Radiography
- State Registration
