This permanent post is 0.57 WTE (21.3 hours per week). As Lead Nurse, you will provide strategic, professional and clinical leadership, ensuring the delivery of high-quality paediatric oncology care, including infusional chemotherapy. Working closely with the Primary Treatment Centre (PTC), Children’s Directorate, community nursing teams and partner organisations, you will help develop and enhance the service while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Our Children’s Services span Queen’s Hospital and King George’s Hospital, offering inpatient wards, HDU, CYPAU, a day unit with an established POSCU and hematology service, outpatient clinics, a Level 2 NICU, community outreach, and busy emergency departments. You will join a supportive multidisciplinary team with strong nursing leadership and excellent opportunities for professional development, leadership training and academic progression through our university partnerships. Please note: Applicants must be Registered Children's Nurses to apply. ### Main duties of the job To work in close collaboration as a member of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to contribute to the delivery of safe and effective clinical practice, education and training, practice, service development and research/audit within the POSCU 1A service. The postholder will utilise management and leadership skills to contribute to nursing practice to improve the quality of care to patients in line with national guidance and policy in the care and management of POSCU.
