The Team provides follow-up care to patients diagnosed with Tuberculosis and offer screening to contacts. The Specialist Team manage TB Incidents and Outbreaks across Birmingham & Solihull. The post holder must be highly motivated, flexible, adaptable and have significant experience in TB. The role of the TB Specialist Nurse requires to Case Manage a Caseload of Patients, support and ensure treatment completion, thus preventing the spread of infection to others and minimising the development of drug-resistant disease. The Post Holder will join the Multi-disciplinary Team and work closely with UKHSA and have links with Neighbouring TB Services and liaise with TB services across the country.
