Assisting in the co-ordination of reviews across the maternity units 4. Developing action plans and learning events 5. Delivering training ### Main duties of the job Working closely with the consultant midwives and bereavement midwives’ cross site to manage the PMRT (Perinatal Mortality Review Tool) review processes for all eligible cases of intrauterine and neonatal deaths. Identifying applicable cases, coordinating and managing the reviews, share learnings and implement changes to improve practice, in line with standards set by MBRRACE, NHS Resolution Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts & NHSR claims , and the National Bereavement Care Pathway. They will work collaboratively with the bereavement team and wider maternity governance team to ensure effective communication systems are in place and to ensure excellent standards of care and compliance with national and local standards. The role involves communicating with bereaved parents therefore, the PMRT Midwife must be able to manage with highly emotional family situations and be able to have difficult conversations with women and their families about pregnancy loss and potentially foetal abnormality. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities Please see attached job description for more information about this role and working at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. ### Applicant requirements You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
