### Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Physiotherapist to join our Community MSK Service as the Band 7 South Somerset MSK Hub Lead.

This role combines clinical practice with leadership, offering the opportunity to support and develop high-quality musculoskeletal services across South Somerset. You will provide clinical and operational leadership for the Hub while maintaining a clinical caseload and ensuring the delivery of excellent patient-centred care.

South Somerset is one of four MSK Hubs across Somerset. Working as part of a supportive countywide leadership team, you will collaborate closely with fellow Hub Leads, Team Leads and senior colleagues, benefiting from strong peer support and shared learning.

Key responsibilities include leading the day-to-day operation of the Hub, supporting staff development, managing capacity and performance, contributing to workforce planning, and providing clinical support for complex cases. You will also play a key role in clinical governance, quality improvement and service development.

### Main duties of the job

You will take responsibility for the operational delivery of MSK Physiotherapy services within the South Hub, ensuring effective coordination of staffing, clinic capacity and day-to-day service performance. This will include oversight of workload allocation, supporting department leads to manage demand and addressing any issues impacting access, flow or quality of care.

A key part of the role will be working with the wider cMSK leadership team to implement service priorities, standardise ways of working and ensure alignment with Trust objectives. You will contribute to workforce planning, support recruitment and retention, and ensure colleagues have clear objectives and development plans in place.

You will be accountable for maintaining high clinical standards across the Hub, providing specialist input into complex cases and supporting consistent decision-making across the team. You will also lead on aspects of clinical governance, including monitoring performance, responding to incidents and complaints, and contributing to audit, quality improvement and service evaluation activity.

You will actively support the implementation of change initiatives, embedding new pathways and ensuring staff are engaged and supported through service developments
