Band 7 Clinical Trials Pharmacist (Maternity Leave Cover – 12 Months)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Clinical Trials team at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust on a 12-month maternity leave cover basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a high-quality clinical trials pharmacy service, supporting both commercial and non-commercial research across a wide range of specialties. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, sponsors, and research staff, you will contribute to the safe and effective management of investigational medicinal products (IMPs) in accordance with current UK Clinical Trials Regulations, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and other relevant standards.

The post holder will be involved in all stages of the clinical trial lifecycle, including trial set-up, ongoing management, and close-down activities. You will support the dispensing and final checking of clinical trial prescriptions, provide expert advice to clinical teams, and ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, and quality requirements.

This role is ideal for a pharmacist with a strong clinical and technical background and an interest in research and innovation, looking to develop or expand their expertise in clinical trials within a supportive and forward-thinking NHS environment.

### Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

- 1) To maintain and support the Pharmacy Clinical Trials service in accordance with current UK Clinical Trials Regulations and all amendments, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines and department procedures, ensuring the provision of a high-quality service to non-commercial and commercial sponsors, clinical trial units, contract research organisations (CROs), staff and patients at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust 2) Support clinical trial section leads with clinical trial set-up, delivery, and close-down activities 3) Assist with managing and resolving day-to-day queries raised by the research teams, sponsors, clinical trial units, and contract research organisations (CROs) 4) Dispense and final check clinical trial prescriptions

5) Support investigational medicinal product (IMP) manufacturing activities
