### Job overview

We are looking for a midwife who has a passion for education and can offer the right support to our pre-registration students to achieve their goal to become qualified midwives.

We want someone who has a focus on evidence-based training as well as pastoral support to ensure an excellent student experience as well as successful completion of training.

This role is North Middlesex Hospital based.

### Main duties of the job

This role will require the postholder to demonstrate high levels of organisation and sound clinical knowledge.  They would need to have a good understanding of midwifery training and other issues in maternity education.

They will also need to have a strong focus on the health and wellbeing of our student population.

- At least three years experience of post-qualification clinical practice
- Ability to work across the hospital and community setting
- Experience of supporting students in practice both as Clinical Supervisor and Assessor

- Enjoy teaching and development of individuals
- Good IT skills

### Education and Qualifications

- Qualified midwife with active NMC registration.
- First degree
- ENB 998 / Mentorship or teaching qualification
- Practice Assessor
- Neonatal life support instructor PROMPT/ALSO trainer

**Desirable**

- Masters level qualification or a post graduate qualification
- Practice teacher or other teaching qualification or willingness to work towards
