The post holder will be working at a senior level within the Management team and contributing to the delivery of a consistently high quality, complex and sophisticated service. The post holder is responsible for the running of this department in the absence of the head of service and works with the head of service to ensure that clinical and professional standards are always maintained. They will work with the head of service to progress and develop the wider service and lead on aspects of the service. They will also have a few direct reports within the team. ### Main duties of the job Manage a caseload of adult patients including both aural rehabilitation and diagnostic audiometric testing according to national, professional and local protocols. Demonstrate highly developed specialist knowledge which is underpinned by theoretical and relevant significant practical experience. Work with ENT to improve communication and working relationships. Develop an Audiology led MRI referral service. Work as a member of the senior management team and lead areas of adult audiology in collaboration and in agreement with the Audiology head of service. Represent the service at meetings and regional audiology group meetings. Contribute, propose changes and implement and developments to the service including revision of protocols and pathways. Play a key role in the services development if a high standard quality management system and the attainment and maintenance of IQUIPs accreditation. To line manage an agreed team of clinical staff.
