Band 6 Annex 21 Salary (33,681 - 36,087), rising to Band 6 (39,959 -- 48,117) on completion of training An exciting development opportunity has arisen within the Radiotherapy Physics Technical Services department for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who is looking to develop a career in radiation engineering within the NHS We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate a genuine interest in engineering with a practical mind-set, who are self-motivated and can demonstrate good communications skills with an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team The successful candidate will ideally have a BEng or BSc honours degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering, however applicants who possess a Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject with experience and skills equivalent to an Electronics or Mechanical engineering degree will also be considered. The successful applicant will be required to complete the two-year IPEM Clinical Technologist Training scheme (leading to registration on the Register of Clinical Technologists), and an in-house assessment of professional abilities and performance before progressing to a Band 6 Senior Clinical Technologist position.
