Due to new funding and internal promotion, we have an opportunity for you to be an integral part of an established outpatient SLT team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. The successful candidate would provide outpatient Speech and Language Therapy to a range of patients with neurological, voice, respiratory and medical diagnoses for swallowing, voice and communication. We have a large yet close-knit, highly skilled team who contribute to our robust supervision structure. Innovation, participation in research and clinical/professional development are actively encouraged. We have well-established SLT led Videofluoroscopy, FEES and SVR services so opportunities to access these instrumental assessments to help to shape your clinical practice would also be available. The successful candidate would work within the Speech and Language Therapy outpatient team at QEHB serving a diverse clinical caseload including voice, swallowing and communication disorders and will have close working relationships with ENT, dietetics, Clinical Nurse Specialists and other AHPs. We have a large team who share a caseload of diverse patient cohorts so being a team player is essential. Each team has a team leader, peer specialist SLTs, NQP SLTs and SLTAs who are all supported by Clinical Leads, a Professional Lead and a Consultant SLT. We would welcome a candidate who is has experience working with patients in the specialist areas but our supportive team will be willing to support your development.
