1 WTE band 6 highly specialised clinical physiologist (Neurophysiology)

There is an exciting opportunity for a band 6 clinical physiologist (Neurophysiology) to join our small busy team at Alder Hey NHS foundation trust

The post will require some work to support the sleep service : 60/40 (3 days in Neurophysiology/ 2 days supporting sleep studies )

The post holder will support Neurophysiology by carrying out a range of EEG tests along with Long Term monitoring procedures . In addition to these duties, once trained , the post holder will be responsible for set up of sleep studies (ward and home)

Essential qualifications for application: BSc Healthcare Science-Physiological sciences (Neurosensory), BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology (Neurophysiology) along with post graduate certificate relevant to the role.

### Main duties of the job

Job summary:

The post holder will work within the neurophysiology and sleep teams (60:40 split)

Neurophysiology:

Perform a wide range of a routine, specialised and highly specialised Neurophysiological investigations on Children and babies, including pre-term, referred from Alder Hey Children’s NHS Trust and other Hospitals within the North of England and Northern Ireland. We also carry out long term monitoring including Video Telemetry for NorCess (Northern Childrens epilepsy surgery service)

Sleep

Once trained. the post holder will work with the sleep/long term ventilation (LTV) team in setting up and delivering a world class paediatric sleep laboratory for children with sleep disordered breathing in the Northwest. This will require flexible working (1 day per week 12-8pm)
