You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including health and social care professionals, students and trainees, and external agencies, to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. You will utilise advanced clinical skills to assess, advise, and deliver appropriate management plans, including counselling and rehabilitation. The postholder will be required to work autonomously, undertaking a full range of clinical duties without direct supervision. This includes undertaking a full range of adult audiological assessments, including highly complex cases. Comprehensive history taking, assessment of impact and expectations, and the use of diagnostic tests such as pure tone audiometry, tympanometry, and acoustic reflex measurements. Analayse and interpret results from a range of complex audiological assessments and determining appropriate clinical actions, including the need for medical referral, treatment options, or discharge. This will include sensitively communicating diagnoses, including permanent hearing loss, to patients. Fit and programme digital hearing aids using real ear probe microphone measurements where appropriate, ensuring optimal outcomes.
