Work closely with the Occupational Therapy in-patient Senior Therapists & other neurological specialists and the wider team to ensure Occupational Therapy services provided are of a high standard, responsive to patient and multidisciplinary team (MDT) needs and to ensure the service is run in an efficient and effective manner. Undertake comprehensive assessment of patients, including those with highly complex presentation, using investigative and analytical skills. To formulate individualised management and treatment plans, using clinical reasoning, knowledge of evidence-based practice and utilising a wide range of treatment skills and options. Responsible for equipment used in carrying out Occupational Therapy duties. To assess, order and fit equipment and to adhere to departmental policy, including competence to use equipment and to ensure the safe use of equipment by others through teaching, training and supervision of practice.
