### Job overview

An excellent opportunity is now available for a highly motivated and dedicated pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team based in the main Trust Pharmacy. You will participate in the provision of clinical pharmacy services, based in our Central and Summerhill dispensaries. This is a great opportunity for a newly qualified pharmacist interested in either hospital or mental health pharmacy experience.

The Trust Pharmacy service comprises over 50 staff including 14 pharmacists and 17 pharmacy technicians. The service provides for 120 teams, including inpatients, forensic inpatients, forensic CAMHS, home treatment, assertive outreach, community mental health teams and early intervention. Within the service, there is an inpatient dispensary and an outpatient dispensary, with its own compliance aid filling robot.

Consideration will be given to full time or part time applicants.

### Main duties of the job

### The Job Summary is as follows:

- To work within the Trust dispensaries providing clinical support for the ward and community clinical teams, as well as the Pharmacy service teams
- To provide medicine related information to doctors, nurses and other health care professionals, as well as patients and their carers.
- To implement and monitor medicines management systems promoting economical, safe and rational use of drugs.
- to act as the responsible pharmacist in Summerhill Pharmacy when required to do so.
- To participate in and encourage the recognition and reporting of adverse drug reactions
- To be conversant with the departmental and trust computer systems.
- To adhere to all national, professional, and local policies and procedures.
- To ensure that personal training needs are met.
- To participate in education and training for all grades of staff.

**Essential**

- Evidence of confidence managing dispensary services
- Evidence of confidence in clinical areas

**Desirable**

- Good clinical knowledge of psychiatric medication
- Evidence of relevant current CPD

### Training and qualifications

**Essential**

- Registered as a pharmacist with GPhC

**Desirable**

- Postgraduate qualification in psychiatric pharmacy
- Other relevant postgraduate qualification
