The band 6 Sister / Charge Nurse will support the Senior Sister in the development, monitoring and implementation of high quality, evidence-based clinical care to ensure that continuity of service provision and standards are maintained and improved. - Maintain own NMC registration and personal portfolio in line with PREP guidelines and professional development. - To take lead responsibility with the support of the Senior Sister to facilitate and develop the Unit Team’s professional development needs to meet individual and organisational objectives. - To support the Senior Sister in leading and co-ordinating the Unit Team to ensure that timely and efficient admission/transfer and discharge of patients whilst maintaining patient safety - To support the Senior Sister in leading and co-ordinating the Unit in the early assessment and implementation of safe discharge planning, utilising appropriate resources and referral systems. - Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and deliver high quality, evidence-based care, including maintaining high standards of documentation, involving the children, young people and their families throughout the process. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities Please read the attached Applicant Pack prior to completing your application form to find out more information.
