The job will be to focus on patients with bladder cancer, the job will be based at the QE site, cross site working may be required. The post is permanent post for 37.5 hours a week. Working days will be Monday to Friday. Applications are invited from nurses who are dynamic and forward thinking, with an interest in developing new skills and have the ability to deliver high quality patient centred care in an outpatient setting and support patients on the ward. The successful candidate will be required to have essential urology experience and male catheterisation. You will learn and carry out flow rate, give bladder installation/ chemotherapy (BCG), Urostomy care. You will also give advice to patients on the phone, offer counselling for procedures as well as attending a weekly MDT. You will work closely alongside and be supported by a dedicated team of urology clinical nurse specialists, Urological Consultants, oncologists and Outpatients staff. The successful nurse will be able to demonstrate the ability to drive forward and deliver services using change management and have the skills to measure any changes made using clinical audit.
