The Immunology department offer a wide range of tests that aid to diagnose, treat and manages disorders of the immune system in patients. As one of the pre-specialist's biomedical scientists within the team, you will be trained and supported in the analysis, technical validation, interpretive decisions, and reporting of samples to achieve the objectives of efficient and effective patient care. The post holder will be required to undertake their responsibilities within any of the sections of the Department across UHB. ### Main duties of the job We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our busy, friendly team and support our progressive department in providing high quality, timely and specialised services. We are UKAS accredited to ISO 15189 2022 standards, MHRA approved and IBMS accredited for training. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience of working in a fast-paced department that is continually growing, and to expand and develop your existing knowledge and skills. You must have a BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent with HCPC registration as a biomedical scientist. The laboratory operates a 24/7 service, and after appropriate training, you will be expected to support the departmental shift system as required - including weekends.
