### Job overview

The Band 5 rotational Occupational Therapy post offers newly qualified Occupational Therapists the opportunity of gaining experience in a variety of acute inpatient clinical settings including care of the elderly, stroke, specialist medicine and orthopaedics & surgery. The post holder will provide high quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions to a wide variety of patients in liaison with the multidisciplinary team and community partners.

### Main duties of the job

- To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own clinical and professional work, including the management of patients in your care; 2. To undertake comprehensive occupational therapy assessments of patients with a range of health and social care needs for presentations including but not limited to; medical and respiratory pathologies, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions, gastrointestinal conditions, frailty, falls and stroke; 3. To gather relevant medical, clinical and social information and analyse and interpret all information gained to guide intervention; 4. Formulate and deliver an occupational therapy treatment programme based on sound knowledge of evidence based practice and treatment options, using clinical assessment and reasoning skills; 5. To plan and implement individual and/or group interventions, in collaboration with patients, using graded activity to achieve their therapeutic goals;

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
