Are you a passionate Newly Qualified Occupational Therapist, or an experienced Occupational Therapist looking to make a difference in acute mental health care?

We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and innovative OT to join our team in Enfield promoting collaboration, and professional growth across inpatient services.

Working across our acute inpatient wards, you will support service users on their recovery journey through high-quality occupational therapy assessment and intervention. You will manage a designated caseload, helping individuals develop the skills, confidence, and independence needed to participate in meaningful daily life activities.

The successful candidate will:

- Deliver recovery-focused, evidence-based occupational therapy interventions.
- Use MOHO and other assessment tools to identify occupational strengths and needs.
- Work collaboratively within a MDT to support holistic care planning.
- Facilitate therapeutic groups and individual interventions tailored to the needs of our diverse service users.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and the enhancement of the therapeutic environment.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, initiative, flexibility, and a commitment to person-centred care.

### Main duties of the job

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery and development of high-quality, recovery-focused occupational therapy services across Enfield’s acute inpatient mental health wards.

As part of a supportive and innovative AHP team, you will provide person-centred occupational therapy assessment, intervention, and care planning using the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) and other evidence-based approaches. You will manage a designated caseload, supporting service users to develop the skills, confidence, and independence needed for meaningful participation in daily life.

You will be an active member of the MDT, contributing to ward rounds, care planning, risk assessments, clinical reviews, and discharge planning.

You will deliver individual and group interventions, complete functional and occupational assessments, and work collaboratively with service users, carers, ward teams, and community services to achieve positive recovery outcomes.

You will contribute to the development of therapeutic ward environments, quality improvement initiatives, audits, and service development projects that support the ongoing enhancement of inpatient therapy services within our evolving care group structure.

Our therapeutic programme includes a wide range of recovery-focused interventions, including arts therapies, physical health and wellbeing initiatives, vocational and life-skills development, co-produced activities, and our much-loved Pets as Therapy service.
