### Main duties of the job

Main responsibilities will involve data collection and data entry; monitoring and maintenance of electronic data capture systems (EDC) and site files; providing administrative support and updating spreadsheets and local databases of clinical trial activity.

Other responsibilities include clinical tasks, such as preparation of laboratory kits, assisting in processing and shipping of clinical trial samples and assisting the clinical team with patient study visits.

The post holder will also be involved with the induction and training of new team members in data coordination activities and assisting the close out and archiving of clinical trials, conducting remote and on-site monitoring visits, development of SOPs; visit procedures and source documentation.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of working in clinical research
- Experience of working in the NHS
- Recent experience of dealing with the public on a regular basis.
- Recent experience of working in a research environment
- Understanding of Patient Administration Systems/ CERNER and EDRM

### Skills and aptitudes

**Essential**

- Understanding of ICHGCP and clinical research governance
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Clear verbal and written communication.
- Willingness to learn and undertake new skills.
- Ability to organize own workload and use own initiative with clear decision-making.
