The job will involve working on all specialties. Other key  responsibilities include; dealing with enquires from all parts of the hospital and contributing towards the development of trainee clinical coders; acting as mentor to and assisting with training. The post holder will work as part of a team of experienced trained and trainee staff. ### Main duties of the job Abstract and analyse clinical information from a variety of electronic source documents which include complex patient records, electronic discharge summary and letters across a broad range of clinical specialties. Translate tis into a coded format in line with National Clinical Coding standards, using ICD10 and OPCS4 classifications. Enter coded data in to appropriate computer systems.
